Since the very beginning, owning gold has provided an undeniable protection against asset depreciation. The value of the so-called "divine metal" was already appreciated in ancient Egypt, at least 4000 years before our era. Without exaggeration, it can be stated that the purchasing power of gold has remained stable for thousands of years. Gold does not lose its value even in times of uncertainty, crises, or war.

Gold and gold coins have been a widely used form of currency for centuries. Gold played a significant monetary role in the past, during the gold standard era, it was a form of currency, and gold coins were constantly in circulation.
In the early days, the Gold Monometallism (a monetary system based on a single precious metal) was in operation. Gold served as an important international currency at the beginning of the 20th century, especially after the collapse of paper currencies, such as the German mark.
A significant turning point in the post-war development occurred at the Bretton Woods conference. Representatives of most nations gathered and signed an agreement on the international monetary system and the International Monetary Fund.
The new system, exchangeable for gold, was called the Gold Standard. Its function was that national currencies of different states were freely exchangeable for the U.S. dollar, and the U.S. dollar was exchangeable for gold at a fixed rate.
This system was in place until 1971. After the collapse of the Gold Standard, the price of gold significantly rose. During this period, gold ceased to serve as the primary element of the monetary system.
The revolutionary VERISCAN system is a new and highly secure technology developed by PAMP that prevents the risk of counterfeiting.
This technology works on the principle that, just as in nature, artificial products can have microscopic "surface profiles," as unique and characteristic as a fingerprint. This scanning system, which is efficient, cost-effective, and easy to use, verifies any product with the VERISCAN logo. The benefits of this system are appreciated not only by precious metal distributors but also by investors.
